About MBV
The Movement for Better Values
It is an advocacy volunteer organization which brings forward to the awareness of the voters, young and old, that the choice of President for the year 2010 is crucial to the future of our country. As such the volunteer group will promote the awareness of appropriate presidential candidates who will serve the best interests of the country.
From among the candidates, the movement will support the presidential bid of a candidate who has no corruption record in his public service career and support the values of hard work, perseverance, and integrity.
Volunteers are recruited from professionals in various fields like, bankers, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and other non political persons and groups.
In addition to its primary concern of helping the voters choose the right President for 2010, the movement is secondarily involved in entrepreneurship development and small and medium scale enterprise development.
The movement will encourage many youthful entrepreneurs to participate in various fora on entrepreneurship and developments, business clinics for small and medium scale enterprises and generally encourage the young entrants to the labor market to consider the alternative of entrepreneurship as a means for livelihood.
The movement will also advocate the promotion of transparency and integrity in governance so that the values of honesty, hard work and perseverance will be adhered to by public servants in the delivery of public services to the Filipino people.
The movement will therefore strive to encourage government and the public servants to follow a framework of development which allows the economic environment to be friendly to small and medium scale entrepreneurs, including micro finance enterprises to partially solve the unemployment situation in the country.
